Last meeting for these two Focus's before they off to the the big oval race track in the sky. The Lexus will live to fight another season a few repairs she'll be good as new ish
Jenson the trainee on the Lexus in the background, Drew in middle on his Focus, Then me on my Focus ready to do battle one last time this year.
Tommy's always there to help weather it's unloading cars clearing up or fixing car's in between running his arse off making sure everyone is safe.
So the car was fairly straight for the begining of this meeting although it was softer the jelly then I lent it to Jenson.
He started well and soon learnt about under and over steer, He was flying bearing in mind he has no driving experience on track or even road
It was muddy and slidey and soon there was a big pile of cars lots on non contact going on everywhere. Jenson taking a big hit enough to shake the most confident driver. But he turned round and carried on. He then decided to have some non contact of his own bending chassis back again. He had loads of fun which how it's meant to be he can't wait till next year. If he drives like that he will be winning trophy's.
James pulls it out the bag for a 1st heat win in the rwd dirt rods and also a 2nd place in the 2nd heat. James also boasts the junior championship as well. That Granada has done him well this year. If anyone says James don't smile they are lying I've seen it first hand. n rwddi
When I say we I mean it was me !!!. Not a great meeting for us, This happened in the final snapping chassis rail both sides. might be terminal this time, But if you don't push to win you never will. She has done us proud. One more meeting left so fingers crossed I can work some Magic
I Pulled a 6th out the bag on the 1st heat happy with that seeing as it was thick sticky mud but that's where the luck ended. Black flagged in 2nd heat for a n/s/r flat tyre (nice one Carter thought we was buddies). Harness failed in 3rd heat so I pulled off.The final I was caught from the rear quarter and hit a tyre flat out hence the chassis damage.
Bonnet is resting on a small tubular bar which also suspends radiator. This is due to the front slam panel snapping off. Bonnet is also fixed with seat belts.
As you can see from this snap chassis is already sagging from last meeting this was as straight as it was going to get.
Videos uploaded to video 18 page. One shows the Final where the tyre killed the chassis in fact that tyre killed Si Avis's car as well the lap after me. Click here to watch footage.
Starting as a Blue roof this week pretty much at the rear, And five laps in i had passed 25 odd cars and with the ones that dropped out that left me 3rd on grid for the restart after a rollover.
Nailed the restart and held it to the checkered flag. To see this race from a in car cam click here
After a big follow in and rolling the car in front in her Ka Maisie is certainly putting the boys to shame. we wont mention about the other ditched car OK.
Building up a points total over the course of the season they won the Micro Banger team Championship. Well deserved great entertainment chaps.
1st heat restart, Got a good start on dry dirt straight down the inside.
Throw it sideways make some room here it'll fit i'm sure.
AAAAnd i'm threw some how, May of been a bit of contact but I didn't see anything.
Been a long time coming this has for Drew. Here he is with Danielle his fiance celebrating.
Well done Matt another for the trophy cabnet
Irish races with Si Avis team not the first win for him neither,
Sorry, Not a lot of snaps this week I was ruther busy in pits also doing a little bit of marshalling to help out Mr Carter so he could race the Lexus again.
The Lexus and both focuses all lined up,Scrutineered ready to go
Paul Carter strapped back in the Lexus Happy as a pig in s@@t Paul's mate Simon Peters also took her out for a spin well I say a spin 1 lap to be honest. He was also the original owner.
Proud Dad as Owen Stock brings home his first trophy for 3rd in the final, Thats a blinding result considering its his first season.
This is also our pic of the week!!!
Steve finishing 3rd in his final as well. A good day for the Stocks Bigger trophy cabnet needed maybe ?
Si Avis bagging a win in final.
Simon is soon to be married to Sally Brace who also bagged a win last meeting.
Well we done it, Won the first heat on this important day. I would of loved to win the chequered roof cup but I pulled grid number 30 out the hat so it was a tall order, But still finished a respectable 4th I was happy with that.
Steve Stock showing off his nice shiny trophy with his boy Owen who by the way took his x's off his junior banger this meeting.
Well motorsport is dangerous things happen.Tommy didn't get hit thankfully.Tommy plays a big part in keeping us all safe and had a busy day yesterday.
Paul Carter makes a come back and takes the Lexus out at Stansted for a blast and holds his own, While I held his flags for a race. ( He hid the black one though) I have a feeling I maybe lending him this car again. Good to see this car getting used while im driving Lily's sponsored Focus while she is out. After all they are there for one purpose to be enjoyed while entertaining. If you wish to purchase these pictures of Paul or any other high quality image of any of the cars racing follow this link. www.Madjamphotoghaphy.co.uk
